Childproof Retractable Sash Stop Test Results

Posted by GEMMA SIM on

All strata buildings in NSW must be fitted with devices that lock the window opening at less than 12.5cm. This applies to openable windows that are two metres above the ground and within 1.7 metres inside.

The window safety device standards can be found in clause 30 of the Strata Schemes Management Regulation 2016.

Our popular Childproof Retractable Sash Stop has now been independently tested and the results are in!  Besides restricting the window from opening more than 12.5 cm or more the device must also be able to withstand a force equal to 25 kilograms and the test results confirm that our Childproof Retractable Sash Stop exceeds this force*.

The Childproof Retractable Sash Stop is popular with our designer clientele who are looking for something aesthetically pleasing as opposed to some other plastic locks on the market.

The other unique factor that makes this lock so popular is that once installed on the window it retracts into itself (using the key), allowing the window to slide up and over the lock and open fully, if children are not present in the premises.

An extremely popular and unique lock that complies with regulations.  Available in Polished Brass, Polished Chrome and Satin Chrome.
