Why Evermend
A permanent repair, not a patch
Evermend is a two-part epoxy that bonds into the wood fibre, restoring the surface and the strength of damaged or rotten timber. It's a lasting alternative to cutting out and replacing sound original joinery.
Bonds into the wood
A structural bond, not just a surface fill.
Moves with the timber
Won't shrink, crack or absorb moisture.
Non-sag
Stays put on vertical and overhead repairs.
Work it like timber
Sand, drill, nail, screw and paint once cured.
How it compares: epoxy vs wood filler
1 Hour or 4 Hour?
Pick the cure time to suit the job
Same Evermend epoxy and the same gun. The difference is how long you have to work with it.
1 Hour CureFast cure. Shape, sand and paint the same day. Great for spot repairs, splits and quick jobs.
4 Hour CureSlower cure, so you have more time to work the filler before it sets.

Prepare, mix, apply
Full instructions are below, and we're happy to talk you through your first repair.
Prepare the timber
Cut out all soft, loose and rotten wood, then clear the dust. Brush on Evermend Stabiliser to seal and strengthen the timber.
Mix
Extrude onto a mixing board and fold together until it's streak-free. Only mix what you can use in about 5 minutes.
Apply and finish
Press in small amounts first to avoid trapping air, build up the repair and shape it. Once cured, sand and paint.

What else you'll need
A twin cartridge extrusion gun, a mixing board, mixing knives or scrapers and sandpaper. We recommend Evermend Stabiliser to prepare the timber, and gloves while you work.

Questions
Good to know
Do I need a gun?
Yes, cartridges go in a standard twin cartridge extrusion gun, which squeezes out both parts in the right amounts. You can buy the Evermend gun on its own or in a bundle. Prefer no gun? The Evermend self mix pot is mixed by hand.
Should I choose 1 Hour or 4 Hour?
Choose 1 Hour when you want to shape, sand and paint the same day. Choose 4 Hour when you want more time to work the filler. If you're unsure, give us a call and tell us about the repair.
Is it cheaper to buy in bulk?
Yes. Packs of 5, 10 and 20 cartridges cost less per cartridge, and there are bundles with a gun and stabiliser. See the best ways to buy Evermend.
